Debate Articles - Perspectives

Hello,

I have posted three articles from TIME for Kids below. Each article is a debate topic. Your assignment is to read an article posted below and answer the Google form. Take some time to think about your opinion on the topic you are reading about. Did any of the perspectives (points of view) presented in the article make you change your mind? What type of argument would you have for the topic you chose? I look forward to reading your responses!

Should Students Wear Uniforms?
"Many schools say uniforms make it easier for students to focus in class, and that uniforms promote inclusion. But some students think uniforms are uncomfortable, and that kids should have the freedom to express their personality through their clothing."

Is Social Media Good for Society?
"Students today have never lived in a world without social media. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok are a few of the most popular social-media websites and apps. They can be a fun way to connect with friends and family, especially those who live far away. Sometimes, people use social media to find jobs. But social media also attracts cyberbullies and trolls who seek to anger or annoy people."

Should Cars be Banned in Towns and Cities?
"How do you travel around your town or city? Some people walk or ride a bike. Others take buses and trains. But most people get around by car. This might be convenient, but having too many cars on the road can cause problems. Heavy traffic is a safety hazard. And it pollutes the air."
